Handcuffed....

I was handcuffed last night in the name of research. I wanted to try driving too but figured it may not be the best idea if I'd like to see my family again.

I wanted to see if it was possible to slip my arms around to the front like you see all the criminals do in the movies. It wasn't happening. Of course, everyone one else was able to do it, which means it's possible, just not for me.

Since it was research, my loving family sat around and laughed at me while I struggled to get free. They said they didn't want to interfere or stop my learning curve. You know, they wanted me to get the full effect of the exercise. Well, I did. After finding a cuff key and taking an eternity to locate the keyhole while it was behind my back, I finally freed myself but they'd gotten so bored with watching me that I don't think they ever noticed...

Has anybody out there actually driven with handcuffs? What are the biggest challenges and how did you finally get out of the cuffs?

  1. That's funny Robyn! (Ryan) I wish you still lived close by! You are such an entertaining and fun friend! Keep me posted! Do you actually have these books in print or am I stuck reading them on the net? I look forward to hearing more! I can't say that I was ever handcuffed, but I was once tied up in my closet once with a noose a friend did when I was a kid and then he decided it was time to go home and I was stuck there trying to get away and scared to death that no one would find me! When my mom finally found me what felt like hours later (probably more like a 1/2 hr.) she was fit to be tied! Mad to the core! I tried to explain we were playing, but it wasn't happening for her! LOL!!!
