Yeah, so mine was one of them and when all was said and done, I came in second in suspense. I've included the first page here, so check it out and let me know what you think.
SIX
by Ryan Hunter
Amy Madsen opened her door at 4 a.m. to an old biker with gray hair in a ponytail disappearing behind his black leather jacket.
"Is your daughter in agony?" he asked, his forehead creasing with worry and his feet shifting backward toward his waiting Harley.
Amy stared, trying to make sense of the situation, unsure she had even woken.
He wrung his hands nervously, taking a step backward.
She shook her head. "No, not that I know of." She brushed her short, sleep tangled hair from her face.
He sighed and cast a glance to heaven as if thanking God for her safety, but when he met her eyes again, his were still troubled.
He took two more steps backward and she put out a hand as if she could will him to explain. "Wait," she said.
That one word broke his trance and he jumped on his Harley, kicked it into a roar and sped away.
